The rollout of the government’s reformed workplace pensions scheme is continuing, with about 1.5 million small and micro businesses set to receive awareness letters from The Pensions Regulator in the coming months.

The changes to the pensions laws have been met with some confusion and much criticism, especially since the Pensions body started issuing its first fines to those who were not yet compliant.

But there is good news this week for KashFlow Payroll users, with the latest update to its Auto Enrolment capabilities making it even easier for business owners to meet their responsibilities.

AE update

We are pleased to announce the latest phase of our Auto Enrolment functionality, which allows users to not only enrol and assess their employees automatically within a payroll run, but also allows them to generate the necessary communications for their employees.

This update means employers can fulfill another key responsibility to stay compliant with the new laws, by giving them the tools to communicate directly with their employees. This first phase of the communications functionality includes pre-approved letter templates, based on the outcome of each individual employee assessment.

The latest update will allow users to:

  • Generate Communications
  • Print Communications
  • Provide an Audit Trail of Compliance

More updates to the Auto Enrolment functionality in KashFlow Payroll are coming soon, and we will let you know when those updates happen. In the meantime, if you want to learn more about Auto Enrolment in KashFlow, click here.
