On Tuesday night, KashFlow slipped into our LPD (Little Pink Dress) and made our way across the city to the National Business Awards, where we were nominated as a Finalist in the Lloyds Bank Digital Business of the Year category.

The ceremony was a glitzy affair, featuring special guest appearances from the likes of real life, space-faring legend of humanity, Colonel Edwin Eugene ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, and David Cameron.

(We’re not saying Buzz’s years are catching up with him, but he did offer to sell us a mouldy block of gorgonzola on three separate occasions, insisting that it was a “moon pebble”.)

In all seriousness, it was a real privilege to be amongst such a stellar group of forward-thinking, driven and successful companies, who have all played their part in ensuring the continued growth and improvement of the UK’s economy over the past year.

A special shout-out must also go to the SMEs and new businesses who were represented on the night. The small business landscape in the UK continues to thrive, and it’s estimated that in excess of 600,000 British startups will have been created in 2015 alone by the end of the year.

Immense.

Here at KashFlow, awards are always lovely to win or be nominated for (and they make our mums dead proud), but, for us, genuine pride comes from the positive feedback of our customers – and we’ll strive to continue improving and evolving the services we provide to help you run your business, shiny trophy or no shiny trophy.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. Does anybody want to buy some moon rock? 100% authentic.

P.P.S We love you really, Buzz.
