Productivity ToolsBeing productive is not about you just getting things done. It’s about removing distractions and focusing on the things that you can do to deliver the biggest impact to your business. The small business marketplace is full of web-based productivity tools that promise great things. A decent app should at the very least streamline workflow, automate tasks and simplify communication in the workplace. Here’s seven apps that do just that.

Trello is a simple visual organization tool that’s very easy to use. You can organise tasks and projects by firstly opening a card and then adding comments or uploading file attachments. You can also invite as many people as you like to your board and drag and drop people to cards to split up tasks.

Asana is one of the best productivity tools for task management around. The dashboard is easy-to-navigate and you can create tasks and assign them to specific teammates and monitor the progress of those tasks. You can even set who views particular tasks. You’ll never forget a deadline again as the software will send email alerts when a task is due.

If you want to stay competitive online or just even generally, then you need to have a presence on social media. Managing multiple accounts can take up time otherwise best spend on other tasks. Use Buffer however and you’ll save major time and effort.  The free version of this productivity tool allows a maximum limit of 10 posts to be scheduled at any given time. Just add updates into a queue and assign what time you would like to send them out across whatever channels you like.

It may not be a website that rolls easily off the tongue but IFTTT gives you huge creative control over products and apps you use all the time through what they like to call “recipes”. Standing for “If This Then That” the recipes create powerful connections with one simple statement. To give you an example, “If I post an infographic to Twitter, then save the photo to Dropbox.” Just create the recipes you need to run your business smoothly, sit back and let this productivity tool do all the legwork for you.

5.Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a great productivity tools that keeps track of all your tasks across all of your devices, whether that be a smartphone, tablet or PC. You can share calendars and events with multiple users and groups, checking for suitable times to schedule meetings based on what the rest of the team has blocked-out on their Google Calendars.

It’s important to use different and complex passwords for each account to make sure that each of your online accounts is safe and secure. However, you can lose a lot of time when trying to remember a password or searching for a password you have noted down somewhere. LastPass is a secure tool which you can use to store and use passwords. All the accounts information and passwords are stored in one place, making it easy for you to access. Not only does it save and record new sites as you browse, but it also auto fills-in the information when you return to a website.
