Orbit is web-based software. Web-based software is different.
There is nothing to download or install, there are no upgrades, version numbers or backups to worry about – that’s all taken care of for you automatically.
All of the software is accessed via a web-browser – any web-browser, on any computer.
If you’ve ever used Facebook then it’s very similar to that in that it’s a web site with lots of powerful functionality.

You log in at orbitaccounts.com, using the log in link at the top of the page. You are then logged in and using the software. From within Orbit you can set all of your options for branding and customising the software as well as taking advantage of our tools to help promote your business.
The hub of the software is the “clients” section that you can access once logged in. From there you can create accounts for your clients. Your clients never log in to Orbit. They have their own interface for using the software.
You may have heard of KashFlow. It’s the multi-award winning accounting software that is incredibly easy to use yet full of lots of useful features for owners of small businesses.
Essentially, you have your own co-branded and customised version of KashFlow that your clients use. You don’t need to worry about installing it for them or upgrades or even supporting the software – that’s all dealt with by us. For more information on the client software, see this page.
All you do is fill out a quick form with their detail and an account is set up for them. Alternatively you can just send your clients a link to the branded registration page we provide for you and let them create their own account.
Once they have an account, they are listed under the “Clients” tab in your Orbit interface. You can see when they last used the software, run reports on the data they’ve entered or even log in to their account and see exactly the same data that they see.
Your clients can immediately start using the software with very little input from you. Our team support them in the use of the software and deal with any technical queries they have. The software they use is by no-means basic. It’s currently being used by thousands of business owners all over the UK and beyond. But it is very easy to use.
Your clients use the software just like they would any other accounting application. The big difference is that because it’s all online you have the unprecedented ability to see exactly what they are entering and get immediate access to up-to-date information.
So you’re immediately on-hand to deal with any of their accounting queries and give them timely advice based on real, current financial information.
From within Orbit you can run al of the reports you would expect from an accounting product. From Aged Debtors to Trial Balances and everything in between. You can log in to the client software and access the vast range of additional reports available there too.
For Franchisors, we have a number of comparative and consolidated reports. So you can compare franchisee performance or get an overall P&L report for the entire group of franchisees.
At any time you can lock your clients data. Either stopping them from entering or changing any data before a certain date (perhaps after you close a financial year), or just locking certain bank accounts (perhaps after a reconciliation).
Because you can see their data instantly, you no longer have to wait for shoe boxes of paperwork or backups and data files to be sent to you by email.
