Duane Jackson to help budding young entrepreneurs break into business
KashFlow founder and CEO Duane Jackson is putting his entrepreneurial experience to good use as an ambassador for Brightside Start-Up Loans, an initiative from mentoring charity Brightside.
Brightside is a delivery partner for the government-backed Start-Up Loans scheme, which helps young people aged 18-30 to turn their business idea into a fully fledged start-up, matching young aspiring entrepreneurs with trained business mentors and providing them with a government loan of up to £10,000 to get their business off the ground. The Start-Up Loans scheme aims to distribute over £117m to new businesses in England by 2015.
Duane Jackson, Founder of KashFlow commented:
“I’ve been mentored by Lord Young since I started KashFlow and the advice and support I get from him is invaluable. I immediately jumped on the chance to be a Brightside Start-Up Loans ambassador, not only to pay it forward, but also because I wholeheartedly agree with their philosophy that it’s talent and not someone’s background or past that defines their chances of succeeding in business. Getting started is often the hard part so I hope I can help young entrepreneurs take that first step and get their business off the ground.”
Duane is sharing his business knowledge by taking part in a Twitter Q&A in association with Brightside Start-Up Loans on Friday 15th March, 2pm. People with questions can send them to Duane using #AskDuane or @duanejackson.
