Within Orbit you can set up multiple Charts of Accounts. So you may have one set for sole traders and another for limited companies. When you create a new client account you select which Chart of Accounts to use. You can also set an option so that the client cannot edit the chart of accounts if you want to.
You can easily sub-divide your clients that are listed in Orbit by putting them into groups and/or assigning them to managers.
So when you’re viewing client lists or running reports you can easily view just the relevant group rather than a list of all clients.
You can export your clients accounting data in a wide range of formats that are compatible with Sage, Digita and other accounts productions systems.
When is your client’s birthday? When are his annual accounts due? With Orbit you can attach annual reminders to each client. When you log in, the next dozen or so important dates are shown to you on your home screen.
As well as client-specific dates, other important dates are shown too. These include things like the P11d deadlines, Class 1A NIC payment dates, etc.
As well as being reminded about important dates when you log in, you can also set the system to email you to remind you about important client dates.
Using Orbit you can securely upload files for your clients – this could be anything from a Certificate of Incorporation to their tax returns to your Terms of Engagement.
The client can then access these files at any time via their own interface. At all points the documents are stored and transmitted using the same level of security that is used for internet banking by major High Street chains.
