Hi, I'm currently developing some software which uses the KashFlow SOAP API. I'm comfortable that the basics of the communication works, but I need to test that there are no problems with any of the API methods. So far I have been testing against my own company KashFlow account, which is fine for "get" type methods, but I really don't want to risk messing with my real data. How are other developers dealing with this? * Do KashFlow have any kind of "sand box" for testing which we can use? * Has anyone produced a "stub" version of the whole API to run tests against? * Is it acceptable to keep signing up for "trial" accounts and throwing them away when they expire? I'd love to hear the thoughts of other developers, both inside and outside KashFlow.
Hi Frank, Usually we recommend you sign up for a trial and use that for testing. You're welcome to thrown them away and start with another when it expires. Or if you want to continue working with the same data just give support a shout and explain what you're up to and we'll extend the trial for you Hope that helps Duane
I just respond to support when the trial expires and they extend the account (much quicker than re-populating sales types and so on )
