    Hi All

I have a few questions on article marketing for seo purposes.

1, Do i submit to as many sites as i can? If so what about duplicate content etc posting the same article to many sites.

2, If no to above which article sites should i post to.

If someone can help me out this would be great.

    Thanks

    Article marketing

Go for quality over quantity. Almost all of the 1000's of spammy article sites are no longer indexed by Google, so you'd only be wasting your time submitting over and over again. Also, if you did quickly pick up 1000 links to your site and this type of growth is not common place for your site then Google will SandBox your site, effectively penalizing it in it's rankings... so best not bulk submitting...

    The two article sites that are good, as not only do they provide you a backlink, but also good click through traffic for good articles are;

    1. ezine articles
    2. article city.

choose one. submit regular content. promote your articles too to generate the best results.

I personally use ezine articles, and have done so for the past 6 years, and am an expert author on the site.

It depends partly on what you are doing it for. If your purpose is SEO, then you will need to modify your articles for each site you submit to, otherwise Google will index one and ignore the rest as duplicates.

You will also need to check that the site allows you a couple of links at the foot of the article, and that it doesn't add nofollow tags to them. Articlebiz, articledashboard and articlesnatch seem OK.

I would also recommend Ezine Articles, the site has a good reputation and has do follow links. Article Base is ok and easier to get articles accepted much quicker but are no follow links

Aa yes you can publish as many articles to to article sites as you wish. There will be some problem with some sites only but if it happens then make some slight changes in the article.
There are so many good articles sites like: ezine, goarticles, sooperarticles, ariclecat, articlepool, articlebase, etc. where you can submit your articles and make sure you also submit your articles to the pr sites as press release sites are also good for your seo campaign.

I have just joined a new invoice finance brokerage after working for a major bank for 20 years. I had a few SEO clients and they always told me that prnewswire.com is a good site for SEO rich press releases.

I use Ezinearticles as well. My basic approach is this.

    1) Write a blog post for my own blog.
    2) A few days later rework the blog post into an article. Post that to Ezinearticles.
    3) Rework the Ezinearticles version into another version and post that to a number of the other article sites.

This tends to give me a good spread of SEO benefit (from the blog post and Ezinarticles) and traffic benefit from the exposure to many other sites.

Sometimes I'll create a powerpoint presentation from the article record that as a video for YouTube.

Lots of reuse from one original piece of work.

That's a great tactic, but so few people (me included) seem to be able to pull it off successfully. Reworked and re-reworked articles seem to get wooden and lose the personality of the original piece, ending up as more unloved internet flotsam :(

Are you happy with the quality of each reworked article, or is it simply case of SEO benefit outweighs actual readability?

If you are happy with the quality, then I guess it's down to natural writing ability, so whats the secret? ;)

This is a great post. It's important if you have your own website to place your article there first and wait until the search engines index it on your site first. Once that's achieved start distributing it to the article directories...

The point about turning an article into a video and posting on Youtube is an excellent piece of advice too. This used to be something I ignored out of a mixture of laziness and a fear of the technology involved. It's simple and quite addictive once you get going... and of course the SEO benefits are excellent too.

One thing to keep in mind is if you write quality articles they WILL get picked up by other webmasters and the WILL get spread across the web. This means more backlinks and exposure for your website as well as more credibility for your name.

I would forget the article directories, waste of your time these days. Here is what I would do instead:
1: Write a decent quality, original article that people want to read.
2: Reach out and contact bloggers in your niche and ask for a guest post on their blog.
3: Repeat with a different blog and article.

This works very well, especially since PANDA update when article directories were slammed by google. It is important to keep the quality reasonably high, and not just post on any crappy blog.
One decent article on 1 decent blog with a link back to your site is worth dozens of articles from crappy article directories, and hundreds or thousands of spun/duplicate articles on seedy backwater article sites.

Also, by guest posting on a variety of blogs, you are getting links from diverse ip addresses instead of just a few, they look natural, are likely to attract real human traffic, and there are less links on the page of a blog competing for attention compared to an article directory.
