I am currently creating a computer programe to be used in a classroom setting. The idea itself is derived from my own teaching experiences and pedagogical influences. as far as i know there are no similar programmes. The processes involved are not novel but applied in the way that they are in this setting; it is. Is it possible to patent computer programe (software)? would copyright laws apply? If the answer is no, what would stop someone from just taking what i have created and doing it better (spending more money on it etc...)
Patents allow companies to monopolize the creativity by barring the use of other businesses and to gain benefit in economic system. Software patents are growing greatly.
