    Hi Victoria

It sort of depends from where you are starting from... Do you have a website? Or an email address list from previous customers?

The OP canmt list their web or email details in their reply so best they can do is put them in their profile. Im usually suspiscious of these 1 post ownders asking such broad questions. Let's see if they come back with something of more substance.

The best way to start is to establish your presence first. If you have the time and the resources, make sure to go via a two-prong approach. One is of course, SEO. And the other would be social media. These are different activities, but can bring you significant amount of traffic if done right :) You could probably get more ideas on how to implement these two from the forums, so check out the suggestions here :)

When you start with online marketing you need to follow industry trend setters. Go on to their blogs and read their posts carefully. Analyze how things have been stated and then try them out accordingly. Get some knowledge of SEO because if you plan to have your business online then you will surely need a website and doing SEO on it is extremely important if you want to have results or else learn more about PPC.

There are hundreds of starting points for internet marketing and it depends on many factors .. you need to provide more info before anyone can answer properly. What type of business, product, service target audience etc?

Most people think you need a website .. it is a good starting point but you can market online without one!

Consider also things like SEO, CRO, Pay Per Click, Blogs, Directories, Google Maps, adverts on Sat Nav, email, internet phone calls, there are hundreds of ideas like this and many of them are free e.g. email, Skype, Google Maps etc

Unfortunately there seems to be an influx of these types of questions appearing on forums lately, what these people do is cut and paste any replies onto a blog or forum where they get paid.

You can tell by the persons grammer and use of the english language that they are definately foriegn, and are just harvesting replies for payment.

Don't wast your time, Why?? Because that type of question has been answered so many times, and can be found in the right forum, but that would be too much hard work for them :mad1:

I had a feeling they wouldn't come back, you just know when you get these type of posts, that they're not genuine.

    Hey,
I would say to try and find blogs and forums that are on subject to your company. Be sure to include your keywords! I find this is a great way to start out in internet marketing!

I really dont understand the benefit of these one post wonders. i presume people hear about getting links from forums, realise you have to make "a massive 10 posts!" before they are trusted to use links and the bugger off!

Well youn dont need 10 here anymore, but these broad questions are as Gerry says, used for other intentions and not a genuine question. It is further evidenced by that lack of further contribution by the poster. Often they drop a few different ones on a regular basis, and whislt we have no direct forum rule being broken, if I saw a few appear like this from one member, they would all get deleted. There's someone doing it on anothe forum and finally they've had their sig link removed which was their purpose, but for others, it's copying the replies back to create articles and add to blogs or like another one with a Q&A website.

You can start by creating your own website if you have a product or start as a freelancer. What type of products do you offer?

I’m not sure whether you are/were a gamer, but if you’ve ever played “Lineage 2”, then you will easily understand how the internet marketing world works. At first, you are born as a complete weakling who struggles to gain experience, but after numerous battles you feel more confident in yourself. Sure, you earn some coins along the way, but they aren’t nearly enough to support your “lifestyle”.

After you’ve reached a certain level, you choose a class (specialty) and then you master it till you start becoming stronger and make more coins.

Now coming back to the REAL world… to make money online you will need to learn about different ways to do that. There are so many directions (classes) that you can follow:

    Affiliate marketing
    Making money with Adsense
    Blogging
    Article marketing
    SEO
    Flipping websites
    Social media marketing
    PPC
    CPA marketing
    And others…
