I've just had a letter from the Inland Revenue who want to do a Business Records Check on my accounts. I use kashflow and have an accountant who submits my end of year returns.
Has anyone been through this process? Just wondered how it went and why me?

It is a general thing and you have not been singled out - you name came up in the lottery!

As long as you can ties KF entries to supporting documents and all is in order, you will be fine.

They are doing these checks more and more now, so they can catch people out and fine them!

Wish the real lottery would come up so easily!
Thanks for the reply, not really worried about it as my record keeping is generally good.
Just wondered what it was all about really. I've been self employed for more than 10 years so they have left it a bit late to correct any mistakes I've made, plus they get annual returns so I just found it all a bit odd!
