I'm considering launching a service that will cost users between £5-10 a month. The service is purely online. Users will submit card details and pay monthly (like, for example, Spotify). At this low price point, a significant percentage of the monthly fee will be lost to my payment provider. Can anyone suggest a method to receive payments that will minimise this loss? I know that getting people to pay annually / quarterly (and offering a discount for them to do so) is one solution people use, but I'd really like it to be a monthly transaction Thanks in advance for suggestions!
Hi Guilder, Do you use KashFlow? If you do I can recommend using GoCardless. They offer a fixed fee per transaction of 30p. They also handle subscriptions and so do we in KashFlow so it would take care of itself. Set it up and forget about it until you need to change it. Info on GoCardless here: Take Money From Your Customers Bank Account KashFlow Accounting Software To set up a subscription or repeat invoice in KashFlow go to Sales > Repeat invoice. If they are set up on GoCardless the payment can be taken automatically every month. If you want to take card payments you can use something like Recurly (http://recurly.com/) or Chargify (http://chargify.com/). I've not tried these but heard good things.
The best thing you can do is to trim your ends regularly. When you iron your hair go easy on the ends. Also, I know you dont like hair serums but biosilk makes a really good one. It has silicone in it so it coats your hair so it will have less heat damage.
